America Rising, LLC is a research and communications firm whose mission is to produce the content necessary to wage effective earned and paid media strategies. We do this by providing rapid response research reports, video tracking, media monitoring, and consulting through on-demand and subscription-based plans and platforms. Founded in 2013, America Rising has worked with more than 500 different Republican and conservative organizations and candidates to win races up and down the ballot nationwide.
America Rising LLC seeks a multi-talented individual to serve as a Research Analyst. Qualified candidates possess one to three years of relevant experience on Capitol Hill or political campaigns, in journalism or a law, lobbying, public relations, marketing or public affairs firm or trade association.
Ideal candidates will have a proven background in policy analysis or campaign-style opposition research. Candidates should have exceptional writing skills, a familiarity with relevant policy areas and the current political landscape, and a killer political instinct. Previous experience with online research platforms is preferred.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Conduct, synthesize and package research on individuals, organizations, legislation, and policy issues.
- Look for and package together rapid response opportunities for clients to use in earned and paid media, press releases, and social media posts.
- Edit and assist in overseeing the creation and dissemination of America Rising’s tracking videos and corresponding reports.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree, preferably in political science, communications, economics, or related field.
- Previous experience with a campaign, Republican party committee, a legislative body, trade association, public affairs firm, journalism, law, or lobbying.
- Familiarity with research databases such as LexisNexis, campaign finance websites, and other research tools.
- Excellent writing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks at the same time.
